The land on which the house stands is steeply sloping on a slope from which there is a marvellous view of the undulating lines of the hills going towards the sea. In the plan, the contour lines seem to draw a stormy sea, on which the building plunges like the hull of a boat. The entrance on the terrace leads to the lower floor, which through a large window opens onto the quiet horizon. The clear, decisive geometries of the house emphasise the desire to create a relationship with the place through a strong contrast with the organic, fluid forms of the typically Mediterranean context.
