The house is located in the heart of the historic center of Cisternino and overlooks the main square of the town, which with its clock tower, proportions and typical elements symbolizes the icon of the Italian square. The project included the recovery of the building body by cleaning it of extraneous elements that had been added over time, bringing to light the original forms of the building with the typical vaults that define and characterize the interior spaces making them special. In order to meet the new requirements and current housing standards, aesthetically non-invasive and low environmental impact plant systems were implemented that guarantee a high level of comfort. Through the detailed design of each element of the house, the choice of materials and finishes it was possible to maintain the charm of the historic building giving it a ‘contemporary atmosphere more welcoming and consistent with the lifestyles of our time.
