Casa Torres

Casa Torres

Polignano a mare, 2007

The inspiration for this project, the theme of the stone wall, stimulated a curiosity to look for new ways of using it. Like typical “rubble-core walls”, made from two parallel walls containing a filling material, this house stands between two external walls that form a stone shell and contain the living areas. Vertical cuts define the house’s openings and project the internal space outwards. Extended out into the plot, the house’s dividing walls surround and create outdoor areas used for complementary activities (garden, pool, sundeck, etc.) and connect the building to the landscape.
