The land affected by the intervention is characterised by terraces defined by dry-stone walls. The strong character of the context marks the design choice to insert the building into the natural landscape as if it were an integral part of it. A pre-existing building, consisting of a trullo incorporated inside the new structure, delineates the entrance space which looks out through a large window onto a centuries-old olive grove.
