Santa Cesarea Terme, 2009
This house is located in a wonderful natural setting, consisting of a hilly area covered in olive trees and Mediterranean scrub. The well-defined geometric shapes tend to create a contrast with the natural setting that brings out the qualities of the landscape. The house is spread over two storeys: on the lower floor, a functional space is home to all the normal functions of the house and acts as a base for a lightweight steel and glass building on the upper floor that includes a large space for contemplating the surrounding landscape.
